For any agents wondering if they should use a home
stager for their listings, and in particular, Autumn
Dunn, let me share my story with you. I recently
took a listing, a 4 bedroom, 2000 sq ft house. I had
explained to my clients that as part of my
marketing plan I recommend home staging, and my
clients were willing to follow my advice. Since I did
not already have a home stager that I had worked
with before, I was very concerned about making
sure that I brought someone to my client’s house
who was highly skilled and would do a good job. I
did not have anyone in mind, and had never met
Autumn Dunn or seen her work. So, I searched the
internet. My initial criteria for choosing a stager
was that they had to be certified and they had to
have quality examples of their work on their
website. And that is how I found Autumn Dunn. In
her website, Autumn’s home staging work spoke for
itself. It also looked organized and professional,
and not “part-time.” I called Autumn, and her
work exceeded all of my expectations—and most
importantly, it exceeded all of my client’s
expectations. When the staging was done, my
honest first impression was that we should be
marketing this home at a higher list price, and that
is exactly what we did. As I write this, we are only
into the first week on the market, and are already
having a fantastic response. I look forward to
writing back with the results after we sell this home.
